FAQ
At Phantasie Media, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates and satisfies our customers' needs. With that goal in mind, we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions.
Q: What do I, as the buyer, do if anything in your store has been "Re-mastered"?
A: In the process of collecting many 80s cartoons, I occasionally come across better quality copies of the same cartoon. If that ever happens and I remaster your order, I will contact you and let you know and give you a chance to reorder at a very good discount of the new price as long you can provide the previous order details (as soon as I announce that a particular set has been Remastered then the fun begins :) )
Q: Do you offer Refunds, of any sort?
A: Change of Policy (minor), effective Wednesday, Feb. 11. 2004.
A: I offer a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for Manufacturing Defects Only. If there is something wrong with your order that I did myself (not counting quality issues) I will fix, replace (if need be), or I will refund the original purchase price, INCLUDING shipping back to me (USPS Priority or Global Priority ONLY. Express Mail does not count. Please do not use it, as, while being very fast, it is also very expensive. If I can't fix or replace the bad tape/disc, then I will tell you to send it back and I will pay for shipping back to me (within reason. I WILL NOT PAY FOR EXPRESS/OVERNIGHT/OR 2ND DAY AIR. If you cannot afford to buy or have the money ear- marked for something else, please do not buy.
Q: There's a sticky label on my DVD. What do I do with it?
A: Leave it alone. The DVD/ VHS tapes/discs will likely be labeled. *Update*: I am now currently using New Style-Type DVDs that are NOT equipped with “removable” labels. On the VHS, removing the labels to replace them with your own may be a viable idea, but on the DVDs I wouldn't recommend it.... for it will damage said disc beyond my ability to repair or refund the order. Believe me, others have tried to do this. Hasn't been pretty :)
Q: What if if I have more questions? Can you answer them?
A: I will be free to answer any questions as I am online most of the day, except when I am busy fulfilling orders (though I will get to your E-mails within 24 hours of your initial inquiry. I will get back to you, eventually, but be careful. If I E-mail "you" and "you" don't know what I am talking about, consider the contact ended and your E-mail blocked, no matter whom you pretend to be.
Q: Am I compatible with your disc technology?
A: If I haven't said this a million times, then I don't know which way is North on a Map (I do, BTW :) ) Please visit a http://www.videohelp.com and look around for “Compatible Players” please BEFORE BUYING!
Q: Are you sure you don't give out refunds for quality issues?
A: Quite. Some of you have come to me requesting refunds saying this that and the other thing. Please reread the above if you have any doubts at all about this. This is why they are listed. Each disc is checked in my own system BEFORE it leaves the door. If you want to take off the labels off of the DVDs or simply do not have a truly compatible player for my kind of technology ( the - ) then please please please do not buy from me. Similar to ***Bay*** (*** out for trademark protection reasons) and Yahoo Auctions(!) if you can't afford to take the risk of buying online, then buy from your local **** *eyer or ***-Mart or even *-mart and complain to them when your discs don't work the way you want them to when you remove the labels from Commercially formatted discs (oh no, none of you would EVER do that, would you?) The DVDs are not like tapes, gee golly gosh Batman, that’s the truth. If the discs work on my system then there is NO GUARANTEE they will work on yours, please re-read item 7 and actually go to http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php, just don't say you've went when you really haven't. I do NOT have the funds nor the resources to test "my discs" or even "your discs" on every conceivable combination of player and/or TV with every kind of technology in them. Please realize this when ordering. This may anger a few of you out there in Toonland. But you never have to see me or my store ever again, no one is forcing you to buy from me, not any point did I ever ever condone anyone forcing you to buy from me. If you don't like these facts and want your Money back, you can always try a> a different combination of player, b> selling it in your own Yahoo store, or c> selling it on an online auction site (just please don't mention my name if you are selling copies of what you have bought from me. "Originals" then I don't care whether or not you mention me or not, just it may get shut down if you do by the sys admin. + hey its free advertising as long as its up :)
